Curiously ask. why you stay as postdoc for song long

since you applied EB1A,which is employer independent, why did not you move on to a higher level position during 485 pending? I am a postodoctor now and plan to move on to industry. As long as the area I am going to is in the field, I should be fine,right? Thanks
