for EAD/AP, I faxed them three times/day. get a letter from them said my expedite request was approved within one week, second day get the CARDs. For i-485, i faxed them two time/per day, got a letter of denial letter to my expedite request within one week. My friend used fax to check their FP, an officer called and asked them. this is very luck. If you are lucky enough, one nice officer got your situation, it may be very helpful. Your case is now in emergency, don't hesitate to bother them.
