Please help! What can we do that my husband missed his naturaliz

Dear XDJM,
My hu*****and made a terrible mistake. He forgot to go to the natrulization interview, when he found out the notice, it was already two days after the scheduled date. So he went to the immigration office do deliver a reschedule application right away, they told him to wait for the reschedule notice. But several monthes have passed, we've never heard anything back. My H1 will expire soon, we are really worried about this situation. Does anyone know what should we do at this point? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
