The B-2 holder may enter US at any time prior to expiration of visa, which is present on visa stamp.

The stay period (reflected on I-94), which is solely at discretion of CBP's officer when being admitted, may still be 6 months.

The I-94 expiration (how long the B-2 holder may stay within US) has nothing to do with visa expiration.
