Can I use H1B after usin EAD?

I'm currently holding a H1-B visa. I'll start a new job soon. My new employer agreed to file a H1-B application for me. I already had my EAD card because of the pending 485 case. I want to use EAD and start my new job. However, can I use the new H1-B w/o reentrying the US if my green card application is denied and the EAD is not valid? Thank you very much for your kind help.
