Employment letter for 485

Does anyone know that an employment letter is required for I-485 application based on 140 Extraordinary Ability?

I do NOT have an employment letter with salary right now. The only possible thing I can get is an affidavit from a potential employer, who is only comfortable to highly recommend me to a job.
