pjiang, xiaobaitu and others, please help me!

I am about to file I-140 and I-485 concurrently, but just got a call from the attorney saying the company's financial situation is not strong enough to support me and I-140 will be very likely to get denied. He suggested me not to file this GC because it will be a waste of application fees. He also said it is my call to go for it or not. I can also get sponsored by family in the future (Spouse just filed citizenship). Should I go ahead and try it? I really felt bad because just waited 5 years to get LC (BEC) and now I am stuck. Please give me some advice.
