法居士,please help

Do you know if I should turn in my I-94 card (H1b approval notice with I-94 attached).if I travel to Canada for 8 days business trip? thank you.
the AA airport asked me to turn in my I-94, but I thought I will not apply for H1b visa in Canada, I am afraid to turn it in? is that ok? now I am in Canada and will be back 3 days, do I will have any trouble?
