Xiaobaitu help: AP used, H1 receipt taken by the border officer

Xiaobaitu:

I used my AP recently, and just found that the visa officer took away my old I-94 and my H1 receipt. (I stapled both in my passport). I am kind of careless and did not notice it at the border. Just figure out at home. Does it mean I lost my H1 status? Can I still get my H1 back?

Please help! Thank you!
