I 485 and fingerprint

Submitted I485 to VSC and got the notice of reciept number on Aug 11 of 2003. Since then, no further information recieved. A few of my friends around got the notice of fingerprint after 3 or 4 months after they got the reciept number. I feel anxious. Does anyone can tell usually how long it takes to be notified for fingerprint from VCS? Does it seems normal for my situation? Any information would be deeply appreciated.
