请问关于一方入籍的问题

老公很快就要去面谈,估计下个月就成公民了.我现在还是学生,正在准备thesis.我们不确定的是,是不是他一拿到公民,我就会有临时绿卡?我还需要有什么面谈吗,而且我还需要申请OPT吗? 多谢各位.
