question, please help

Did you get a written notice from CIS or get the information from on-line case status?
Also, my case has been transferred to Boltimore maryland for two months. I did not receive any written notice from CIS. I got the info from on-line case status. Somebody told me I should get a written notice from CIS, but I called CIS customer service, she said CIS was not required to send me a written notice. Local office will contact me directly. Thanks in advance for your reply. Thanks
