Ask XiaoBaiTu, PJiang, Radiology and other, lose job before gett

My hu*****and and I are both H-1B, We filed 485 with him as dependent and we have got receipt notice yet. He is losing his job. To keep legal status, can he apply for H4 now ? Will that invalidate his 485 application ? Is there any other options to keep his legal status ? Thanks a lot.
