Thanks for your reply Pjing, I am just concerned about if we submit I-485 with EAD(just for co-applicant) and AP documents requests, and my wife use EAD after her OPT expired, in case my I-485 get denied somehow, can co-applicant apply H1-b in U.S or should be from China? Since she is F1 visa using EAD.

I am the prime I485 applicant and my wife is co-applicant, I will stay in H1-b since I am just in the middle of 2nd year of H1-b.Thanks.

- Being a dependent of I-140 in F-1, your wife will lost her legal status when she receives 485 denial, on condition of she has used her AP/EAD.

However, she may change to H status before 485's decision, I think. And she will have no problem to apply H visa.
