Reject I-140 for EB3:
1. Maybe you are using the substitute LC and USCIS found out your job does not actually match the LC requirement.
2. USCIS found your company is not able to pay your salary.
3. You are laid off before I-140 approval

I-485 reject:
1. You have been in jail for some bad reason.
2. You have AIDS and do not have spouse, child who is US citizen.
3. You have relationship with Bin Laden :-D
4. You do not have job when USCIS process your I-485.
