Name check pass or no pass?

in May this year I went to the local office Infopass and I was told that my name check was cleared.

Then in early July this year, I received a letter from NSC told me that my name check is still pending.

So, couple days ago, i went to the local Infopass and ask whether my name check was cleared or not and I was told that my name check was cleared.

Really not sure what is going on?? Comments please?

My case: EB2 Perm. PD 7/05. Filed I140 and I485 in Aug 05.
