Everytime the INS increases fee, they claim they will enhance the service. Frankly, the INS is the worst goverment agancy I have ever dealed with. I-485 application fee is increased from $120 ten years ago to $315 + $70 fingerprint fee after 4/30. Is the processing time reduced to 1/3 of original? No. The backlog increases 2-3 times. If I were you, file them today to save yourself couple hundred bucks. Good luck,
