help! landing to Canada

My hu*****and is going to file 485 and I depend on him. His 140 hasn't been approved yet. If we file 485 together, can I travel to canada with my F1 visa? I have a meeting next year and I am a grad student. Some people suggest me to use AP if I got mine before the meeting. But I am confused. Will I have problem when I come back if I use my current I-20 and I-94? Thanks a million.
