for 485 processing, if J1 with DOS recommendation letter but without I612 approval notice, they will send out a RFE for I 612. If J1 without evidence of waiver documents, they will reject the case.

In your case, at best you may receive a RFE for I-612 notice. I don't know how high is the interview possibility.
