I have held TN1, H1B, EAD and AP with I-94. It looks the same. If you enter or leave US into Canada by car, they only check your expiration day of your passport and your I-94. Be carefull when you travel oversea, don't let airport airline clerk takes your I-94. You will be fine and you don't need to go through applying I-94 again.
