If you returned by AP, you don't need do anything for your wife. Her status would be adjustee as long as your I485 is pending.

If you re-stamped H-1B in China, you also don't need to renew your wife's H4. The re-stamp based on your old I-129 is not a H-1B renew, both your and wour wife's H status won't change. However, if you change job and get a new H-1B visa, maybe you need to do something for your wife.
