急问：至今未收到 H-1B extension receipt notice，怎么办？H-1B extension receip

公司的律师说我的H-1B extension petition 于5月14日（在它expire前）寄出，但至今未收到receipt notice. 律师说是因为四月份申请H-1B的人很多，影响了处理速度。可我觉得不太对，这也太久了。


现在我的H-1B已经过期了，EAD 卡到今年8月，以经递交了renew申请。我现在是否还有合法的H-1B status?
