I-140 RFE and W2 regular wages

I got a RFE that I "earned less in year xxxx". My W2 shows a regular wages which is equal to the proffered wage, but Box 1 (wages, tips, etc) is a little short of money since of pre-tax deductions.

Any body has ideas if regular wages or taxable wages should be used for determing my yearly earnings? Thanks.
