ASK gc2020 & all friends - why gc is faster?

It will still take 5 years for a marriage base GC to become a citizen -- 2 years condition plus 3 years ... As to employment base, 5 years... So the actual waiting time are the same. Is that right? If so, why the attorney insisted that marriage gc saves more time? Anyone help me? Thanks!
