About proof of marriage

My hu*****and is applying for the green card and I am the dependent.When we prepare for the I-485 application, how many copies of proof of marriage are needed? My understanding is that one copy is enough, but our lawyer stated that each application should have one copy in the email to my hu*****and. So I want to check with those couples who already send out I-485 or already got approved. Thanks!
