XIBAITU,PLEASE HELP.can i go to canada when the h1 petition is p

XIBAITU,my status is AOS ,recently I applied H1 visa,but still pending.In the middle of August I have to go to Canada.Can I wait there until my petition is approved and visa is stamped ,then come back?Thank you so much!Highly appreciate it!
