usually 6 month is long enough for you to switch employer after perm based gc.

the portability of pd is doable in your case if:
both of 140 are approved
perm lc based gc is pending
then you file niw based 485 with a bright cover letter highlighting pd portable case

i don't think it's good idea to apply niw 485 earlier than both of 140 approvals. In that case, who will make certain to port your earlier pd?
