请较各位: 我太太能否稍后递交I-485?

我现在准备递交I-485, 但我太太是J-1, 到年底才能办豁免, 她能否等办完豁免后再以我为主申请人递交I-485? 如果我的申请在她递交以前被批准,她的申请是否就得沦为绿卡配偶的申请, 因此就得排期? 她此时应以何种身份而合法地留在美国? 谢谢!
