Please help! Xiao Bai Tu and other experts

I got Green Card through EB1b 6 months ago. Now If I apply for a job as a research assitant(or called technician ), will it cause some problem when apply for citizenship in the future? I really want to quit my current job( research scientist). Thanks!!!
