10 yrs ago, in a small state, i ran into trouble because of a NSF returned check( amount $25), the case was dismissed after 30hr community service, i was not arrested and not fingerprinted, i went to the station myself and did have my photo taken.( is this will show an arrest record)i called the court this morning and was told that the case was originally filed with charge of 2nd class misdemeanor( under $500) and later was dismissed. in 2000, i applied for Canadian PR and did the fingerprints( no live scan back then) i got a copy from FBI showing no response. and NOW what should i do on 485 form? should i answer YES to the arrest question or just dont bother. Having waited for many many moons, finally i am able to file 485 and i am greatful and intimidated as well. is it a big issue? should i answer YES to the arrest question? maomaoyu mentioned before the record only go back 7 yrs. please advise, thanks and good luck to yo all.
