can I marry

I am now in Us as asylum and waiting for green card. Initially it is filed by my father.
Now I have reach 21 years old.I just wonder if I marry, I will not get the green card with my father or i will lose my status and have to file a new application for the green card?
any one could give me help to answer this question?
