I-140 PP, no receipt, can I file I-485 in July?简介

I-140 pending, filed PP for 1 month so far no receipt and no approval. And my lawyer said I can not file 485 because I do not have the new receipt number yet. Is my lawyer right? or I can just file I-1485 with previous I-140 case number? You help is greatly appreciated.
