Xiaobaitu or other experts: help! On line wait! EAD and dependen

My kids are in China now, and their tickets are at the end of AUG. My PD is Feb. 2007 (EB3), and my plan is to file 485 with my hu*****and on July. But there is one problem: if the VB back to date before 02/2007 on Sept., and both of my hu*****and and I (all in H1B now) have to change to EAD to work in case of lossing job, what will happen to my kids' H4? Can they stay at US legally when wait to file 485 (they are very yong, so, they only need to to school)? Any experts?
