File 485 on my own

I got I-140 approved tru my current employer, and now I can file I-485 as the PD became current for next month. However, my current company is delaying my filigng of I485 for whatever reasons. In this situation, can I file I-485 by myselves? Or I have to file thru the company attorney? If later on, my company filed I-485 based on the same I140 for me, What would be the impact of two same I-485 applications?
