I485: tax return and pay stubs

My lawyer send me a document checklist for filing I485. Ｉfound it does not mention tax returns in the past two years and recent pay stubs. However, most people in this forum list these documents as requirments.

Could anyone confirm if these are really needed? Has anyone filed I485 without sending tax returns and pay stubs?
