it is supposed to be approved together. but if the nc of principal application is cleared but other dependent applications are still pending, her/his application could be approved ahead of others. so you will see many families are approved together, but others are not (FYI: mine was approved one month ago, my wife's today and my daughter's is still pending, she just did the FP today).
