If your company is willing to hire you and later files H1B for you, you should be no problem as long as your performance is not too bad. The key is that you first need to start the job. One of my friends enjoyed one-month off work last year and surprisingly got pay by counting vacation days and sick days (I think it was a wrong process and you should not expect this).
