My layer sent my I-485 to Vermont, what can I do?

Help:
My layer sent my I-485 to Vermont on June 1 (she said that my I-140 was approved there). Now no receipt, check not cashed yet. Will the application be returned? Or Vermont could transfer to NSC, or something else could happen? Thanks!
