if F-1 OPT file I485, is she still a F1 or AOS? can she apply H1

Hi, my LP is F1, already got her EAD card (07.2007-06.2008), I (H-1) will file 140/485 concurrently next month. Then what will my LP's status be after 485 filing? F1 OPT or AOS (adjustment of status)? And can she apply for H1 later? As i remember if ever your status is AOS, you can not switch to H/L visa.
