My birth certificate has a spelling error in the name of the city of birth. When I filed my I-485, my lawyer suggested to use the correct city name that was not consistant with the certificate. He argued that by doing so, we did not cheat the USCIS and could explain the situation to them if a reference would be issued.
My question is: Will this affect my case? Are there anything I can do to avoid trouble?
Thanks for your help!!!
