XiaoBaiTu & other experts,link EB1 to EB2?

XiaoBaiTu & other experienced experts: My attorney suggested to Link my EB-1b 485 to my EB-2 140. My EB-2 140 was approved April 2006 with PD 4/29/05. EB-1b 140 & 485 was concurrently filed in April 2007. Now EB-2 becomes current while the EB-1b 140 is still pending. Talked to the attorney, she first suggested to file another 485, then her boss informed her to LINK the EB-1b 485 to EB-2 140. There are some messages on this forum regarding LINK, but I am not sure if I should do so. Will this affect my AP and EAD? All I heard from this forum is to link EB2 485 to EB1 140, not another way around. Experts please help!
