I-485 filed almost half year

my I-485 has been filed for almost half year, during that period couples LUD, nothing has changed so far, I am not sure is my name check is done or what, saw many people have stuck by NC forever, when is sign to get GC approved. btw, I filed it on Nov, 2006.
