Xiaobaitu, help, please!!!

i filed my 1-485 on 01/25/2007 based on my marriage with a US citizen. i passed the USCIS interview on 05/09/2007, but was told the Fbi name check not finished yet. ty'll mail me the gc in 2 weeks once the name check cleared. i really worry about it.
1). is this a normal situation? will the name check go for yrs as it happens often nowadays?
2). is anyway possible to expedite the name check?
pls help me out!!!
