Whats "Immigrant Visa Petition

In the Form DS-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application), a question 36 is "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?".
How should I answer this question?
My I-140 was approved last month! My I-485 was submitted to TSC in April 2003.
Have I filed an "Immigrant Visa Petition"?
What's Immigrant Visa?
Please help!
