This is not a good answer. He should say, you are busy, and you plan to go back sometime in the future.

point:
1) you are busy, you will go back soon
2) They come to US to travel(Travel plan).They have money,they will go back

Before My/in laws parents come to US I let them go to Europe. This may not a good idea....
