换过SSN社会保险号码的请帮帮忙...

我以前的SSN是F1的时候申请的,拿到绿卡后我在几个星期以前去SSN CENTER换我的SSN号码, 当时的工作人员跟我说she cant do anything until my paper work go throuth immigration office, 那么当我的paper work go though immigration office 后他们是要给我发一张新的SSN卡吗还是我还是拿原来的卡???一般换SSN是要多长时间的呢??
