1. Similar job means the area, it is ok to be a postdoc. Salary is ok, if no REF, who cares.
2.The USCIS people barely know Chemistry, they cannot tell the difference between R&D or Orgaganic, for them, they are the same shit.
3.Your 485 pending for more than 180 days, they cannot bother you by salary. You are in good shape.
