Urgent: my passport expires before my valid US visa. What to do?

Urgent: appreciate if anyone can help and give information

My US visa is still valid, but my passport has expired. When I get my new passport, do I need to re-apply visa again on my new passport? Or the old visa on the expired passport would work, as long as I bring them with my new passpot?
