Dear Martinliu and Xiaobaitu, a question about H1B start date. t

My H1B (first 3 years) will expire July 18, 2007 with my current employer (i will stay with my current employer till that date). my new job with my new employer will start in August 11, 2007.

To apply for an H1B extension with my new employer, what date to put as the start date in H1B extension petition, July 18, 2007 (but start to work for the new employer from August 11), or August 11 (the exact new job start date), 2007?

My I140 has been approved, and I485 has been pending over 180 days. You both told me a small gap might not be a problem (thanks again for that).
