做博士后邀请父母来美应该找谁写官方邀请信？

学校的international center说只给学生写。那么我应该找自己的老板写吗？如果是这样，我们老板没有秘书，肯定会让我自己写了之后找他签字。请问信中应该主要提到什么？多谢。
